Popular singer, Simi Sola has thrown a profound shade at Nigerian president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The singer has taken to the micro-blogging platform to note how APC presidential candidate had used force to make people support him.
The mother of one stated that if Tinubu had done well like he claims, he wouldn’t have needed to use force on anyone to support him.
“If you do well and people love you,
you won’t have to use fear and intimidation
to force anyone to support you. Isn’t this common sense”.
Meanwhile, the singer had further went on to express her disappointment with some of the happenings recorded in the 2023 Presidential and National Assembly election conducted last weekend.
Simi in a tweet, said everyone should be fighting for justice and a free and fair election irrespective of the political party they support.
The singer while also wondering how one can support this election which was “blatantly corrupt”, also pointed out that there were thugs and people were helpless.
Simi tweeted;
“HOW CAN YOU EVEN SUPPORT ANYTHING THAT IS THIS BLATANTLY CORRUPT? DIDN’T YOU SEE THE CHAOS YESTERDAY. THE THUGS? THE DISENFRANCHISEMENT? REGARDLESS OF WHO YOU SUPPORT, SHOULDN’T ALL OF US BE FIGHTING FOR JUSTICE AND A FAIR ELECTION. WHAT IS YOUR PRIORITY? CAN’T YOU READ THE ROOM?”
