The rumor that there was unequal promotion within the National Drug Law and Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has been proven to be false.
In an explanation made avialable , the Organization said, “The consideration of the Public Medication Policing (NDLEA), has been attracted to a few web-based reports recommending unbalanced advancement of faculty.
“The Organization wishes to express that no such thing exists as height of officials and men stays a continuous activity in view of various elements including opening.
“In fact, the issues raised by the personnel category mentioned in the reports began in 2011, ten clear years prior to Brig’s current leadership. General MB Marwa, Retired However, shortly after Gen. Marwa assumed leadership of the Agency in 2021, over 70% of the workforce, some of whom had been stagnating on one rank for 15-20 years, were promoted and their ranks were harmonised in a determined effort to motivate the workforce.
“Even though more than half of the personnel referred to in the reports had been promoted in the most recent promotions, the Agency’s ongoing expansion, which creates more opportunities for officers and men to move up, undoubtedly opens the door for the few who haven’t yet been affected to be elevated in another junior ranks promotion exercise.
“Anyone not yet affected can rest assured that the Chairman/CEO considers their welfare paramount and central to the successes achieved by his leadership up to this point,” the statement reads. “The Chairman/CEO will continue to pay attention to their career progression in the interest of the overall high productivity goal set for all Commands and formations of the Agency.”
