A video has emerged online of some administrators of a Nigerian bank jumping a wired fence to escape from angry customers.
Differed reactions by Nigerians have followed the insufficiency of the new Naira notes which were introduced last year.
Countless videos have revealed some Nigerians waiting hours in long lines to use the ATM, while others have resorted to sleeping over in the open air to catch a spot the next day.
More extreme and severe reactions have also been recorded as some citizens attacked banks to destroy the properties of the bank and its workers.
Some bank administrators have resorted to jumping the bank’s fence with a ladder
to avoid falling prey to being manhandled by angry customers.
Although where the incident occurred is not yet known, a viral video online has captured staff taking turns in climbing over a fence.
Ibomblog Media had earlier reported that the insufficiency of the new naira notes and the complication in getting hands on the few available ones are proving to be a formidable experience for Nigerians all over the country.
The challenges thrown up by the insufficiency of the new notes are observable in banks all over the nation as a multitude of citizens who had gone to banks to withdraw some cash were left stranded.
Many begged to be provided the old naira notes in the absence of the new ones, to allow them to heed pressing needs requiring funds, but banks did not yield to their request.
At Agbara Bank road in Badagry L.G.A of Lagos State, customers/Nigerians were seen waiting at various banks (Union Bank, First Bank, GTCB, Access Bank, FCMB) as getting money from inside these banks and their ATMs proved abortive.
