Osun state Government  has ordered the  closure of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree Campus for two weeks following the return of suspended Rector, Dr. Tajudeen Odetayo. The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has suspended Prof. Cyril Ndifon, Dean, Faculty of Law, for alleged violation of the institution’s extant laws and policies. The suspension follows a series of protest by students of the faculty of law of UNICAL on alleged ”high-handedness and improper behaviour toward female students”. The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has withheld the results of 262,803 candidates who wrote the 2023 school candidate West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). Mr Patrick Areghan, the council’s Head of National Office (HNO), said this at a news conference to announce the release of the results. He said that the results were withheld in connection with various reported cases of examination malpractice.
