Residents of Lekki-Ajah  community of Lagos state woke up yesterday to notice  the presence of armed security men in the area.

The stern looking security operatives were in the area to arrest a widow, Princess Salami Adeyinka who they accused of engaging in lesbianism with one of her University days friend, Kemi.

The widow, findings showed, had bolted to a yet to be ascertained destination, since the search for her began sometime this year.

The now embattled woman was said to have been engaging in illicit sexual affairs with her friend since she  was in the university  before her escapade was unearthed.

Her ignoble act was blown open by her late husband’s younger brother, whose name was given, simply as Taju, after a serious disagreement ensued between her and the man, over the property of her late husband who died two years ago.

It was reliably gathered that the shameful act by Adeyinka and her friend, was revealed to her neighbours and reported to the Police by her brother-in-law, who was aggrieved that Adeyinka did not take care of his interest in the sharing of the property left behind by her husband.

When the security agents got to Princess Adeyinka’s residence on 5, Ajiun Street, Royal View Estate, Lekki, Ajah, Lagos State, the entire community was thrown into pandemonium, while residents ran helter skelter, as anxiety rented the entire environment.

Chairman of the Royal View Estate Community Development Association, Chief 0luwole Ikumapayi confirmed the incident, noting that when the armed security men surfaced in the community, they shot sporadically into the air because of some youths who had converged on the community, after sighting the Police.

“The security operatives threw caution into the wind, rough handling residents when they did not see the woman they came to arrest. In fact they have vowed to continue their search for the woman, in an attempt to bring her to justice, to serve as a deterrent to others in her group,” Ikumapayi said.

He explained that the community had also commenced investigations into Adeyinka’s lifestyle, when some allegations concerning the same lesbianism were brought to the community against her.

“We were all elated when we saw the police who came, searching for her and we have decided to cooperate with the law enforcement agents to get her arrested and prosecuted,” the man said.
