The Tertiary Training Trust Asset (TETFund) has uncovered that over N18.83 billion has been spent in arrangement of actual foundation mediations somewhere in the range of 2011 and 2021 in Benue Tertiary Establishments.
Sunday Echonu, Executive Secretary of TETFund, made the announcement on Thursday while he was delivering a speech at Benue State University in Makurdi for the Commissioning of six TETFund-funded projects.
The Leader Secretary made sense of that the Central Government, through TETFund has made tremendous interests in the arrangement of essential framework to help educating, learning and examination in the country’s public tertiary foundations spread all around the country.
He claims that between 2011 and 2021, the TETFund invested approximately N18.83 billion in the provision of physical infrastructure interventions in Benue State, where the Fund has eight (8) beneficiary institutions.
“This is in addition to the content-based interventions sponsored by the Fund for the capacity development of teaching and non-teaching staff in order to acquire higher degree qualifications and attend local and international conferences. In accordance with the enabling laws that govern the activities of the agency, TETFund, as an interventionist organization, has ensured equity in the allocation of funds to the three tiers of its beneficiaries.
“The Fund thought it best to demonstrate the achievements of this administration through the commissioning of iconic projects that are currently being completed by our beneficiary institutions as an attestation to the commitment of the government to ensuring that our institutions attain higher global rankings in the delivery of academic content within a conducive environment. In light of the large volume of such infrastructure,” the statement reads.
He went on to say, “Although, we may not be there yet, it is nonetheless pertinent to remark that the journey towards this envisioned future has been progressive, notwithstanding the various dynamics occurring in the nation’s economy,” and “Although, we may not be there yet,” he said.

“Notwithstanding the ventures to be charged today, from 1999 till date, TETFund has committed a sum of N9,277,732,123.0bn to the College far satisfied based mediation as well as improvement and redesigning of framework.
He added, “Our campus is dominated by TetFund-sponsored legacy structures, not including research (IBR, NRF, ARJ, AMB), academic training and conferences (foreign and local), post-doctoral, bench work, and developments in ICT.” These structures include the Central Library laboratories, lecture theatres, faculty buildings, student social center, and entrepreneurship development center.

D degrees in both unfamiliar and neighborhood organizations adding up to N153,521,887,426.41; 16,153 and a total of N42,276,142,212.13 in Masters degrees from both local and international institutions.
He also mentioned that 54,229.00 employees were sponsored to attend conferences, with attendance at both foreign and local conferences totaling N23,199,986,710.49, and that for postdoctoral studies, it sponsored 92 students for a total of N951,568,084.80, 994 students for bench work, and
