The EFCC has detained twenty individuals, one of whom is an ex-convict, for cybercrime offenses in Ilorin.
Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, its spokesperson, said on Tuesday that the agency once got Raji Babatunde convicted of similar offenses.
The most recent captures at Egbejila, Air terminal Street and Offa Carport Region, both in Ilorin were made through solid knowledge reports, he expressed.
According to the statement, Habeeb Abubakar, Abiola Abiodun, Atitebi Samuel, Mofe Oborirhwoho, John Adamson, Mayowa Victor, Oluwafemi Ola, Abdullahi Isiak, Orji Roland, and Martinson Adegboyega are the people who are considered to be suspects.
Kolawole Temidayo, Orimadegun Ishola, Tijani Quadri, Adebisi Kazeem, Umar Abdulkareem, Adebisi Teslim, Okunlola Ayomide, Quadri Lekan, Ukueni Great, and Adeyeye Usman are all additional individuals.
According to Uwujaren, the suspects gave the EFCC exotic cars, laptops, and various phone models.
He added that the suspects would be brought to court when the investigation was finished.
The EFCC made arrests in Ilorin on May 4 of 62 suspected internet fraudsters, including an ex-convict.
