Akwa Ibom State Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, yesterday embarked on an unscheduled inspection of work at the newly constructed Ewet Model Primary School, located at Uruan Street in Uyo, the State Capital.

The primary school project which is handled by GAIS Engineering Construction Company will be the first primary school in Ewet community as before now pupils had to commute to neighboring communities for their primary education.
His Excellency also directed the Hon. Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Idongesit Etiebiet and her Lands and Housing counterpart, Captain Iniobong Ekong, Rtd to follow up with the contractor to ensure that everything is put in place for resumption of academic activities within the month.
