Sensational Nigerian singer, Nonso Amadi has in the latest episode of the Afrobeats Podcast hosted by Shopsydoo, stated that he doesn’t make the same kind of music with Wizkid and Burna Boy.
According to him, though he is inspired by them, the duo or any other Nigerian artiste can’t do his unique kind of music.
The ‘Tonight’ crooner said,
“I am not making the same music as Burna Boy and Wizkid and others. I’m making music that I love. I’m inspired and influenced by them but there is a Nonso Amadi that anybody can.”
He also said he isn’t trying to be a duplicate of any established artist, adding that he has been building his own unique musical style and personality.
He advised young artistes to avoid being copycats, stressing that they need to stand out.
