The logistics manager of Nigerian artist Davido, Isreal DMW, has officially apologized to the Muslim community for the viral video.
The artist has faced widespread and severe criticism for releasing a music video for a song titled “Jaye Lo” by his signee, Logos Olori.
Logos Olori was shown on a building singing and making prayer movements, while other Muslims were shown below faithfully performing Solah and dancing.
The Muslims saw the video as very disrespecting and by extension started cancelling Davido on Twitter and even banned his songs from being played in public in the northern part of Nigeria.
Following criticisms that trailed the video of his new signee Logos Olori, Davido bowed to pressure and deleted the music video from his social media pages.
Following the latest development by Davido, the Muslims in Maiduguri in a new clip gathered together and started burning a banner of singer Davido’s photo asking him to do a public apology.
Reacting to this Isreal DMW via his official Instagram page begs the Muslim community adding that the music video by his boss Davido was an entertainment effort that was wrongly presented.
In the special apology post, Isreal DMW said Davido was only trying to do what he knows how to do best by lifting somebody up.
Declaring his love for the Muslim community, Isreal DMW wrote;
“Let me specially apologise to my Muslims brothers and sisters, on the video my oga posted, as a result of him wanting to lift up somebody, which is one of his hubbies. It was purely an entertainment effort wrongly presented. Make una no vex. Love you all.”
