Pro Nollywood Actress, Uche Jombo has voiced out her concernment over the declaration of Bola Tinubu as Winner of the 2023 presidential election by the independent national electoral commission, INEC.
The actress was surprised that in spite of video and picture proof of the supposed fraud and electoral malpractices across the country, the electoral arbitrator went on with the process.
There has been calls for the anulment of the 2023 presidential election over supposed all round rigging and suppression of the true will of the people by governors and politicians across the country.
However, the Independent National Electoral Commission Chairman , Mahmood Yakubu, had in the early hours of Wednesday announced Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, winner of the polls.
According to Yakubu, Tinubu polled a total of 8,794,726 to defeat his closest opponents and candidates of Labour Party, LP Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP who scored 6,101,533 and 6,984, 520 respectively.
“When some people say ‘my vote doesn’t count ‘ this is what they mean. Truly alarming with videos and pictures in polling units across Nigeria we still got here,” tweeted.
“This shouldn’t discourage ANYONE. A New Nigeria is possible as we can clearly see.”
Bola Ahmed Tinubu was handed his Certificate of Return on Wednesday by INEC.
