Inter Milan midfielder, Marcelo Brozovic chose to join Saudi Pro League club, Al-Nassr over a move to Barcelona because of game time at the Blaugrana.
According to journalist Giacomo Lacobellis, the midfielder had Barcelona as his Plan โAโ for the summer but decided against the move because he wanted to play more football.
Brozovic is set to join Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr. The move, though, did come smoothly as the Saudi side reduced their initial offer of โฌ23 million to โฌ15 million.
However, the two parties have agreed on a fee of โฌ18 million eventually.
Barcelona were also interested in signing the midfielder this summer as a replacement for Sergio Busquets.
Barcelona wanted to sign the Croatia international from Inter Milan but the player thought he might not have been an undisputed starter in Xaviโs team, so he opted to accept the lucrative offer from the SPL.
The Croat played 40 games for Inter Milan last season, helping them reach the UEFA Champions League final.
